As our Canadians Thanksgiving weekend is almost upon us, I was again reminded of how much I am grateful for.
In Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving the second Monday of October, although most people I know get together on any of the three days of this fabulous three day holiday weekend.
Thanksgiving dinner gives us a great excuse to get together with our family and friends and overeat , but besides this fun activity most of us enjoy every year, we all know that Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for all our yearly blessings; yet sometimes, we get so caught up in the preparation of the food, the getting the house and decorations ready, the travelling and all the rest, that we often forget the true meaning of the holiday.

I have been keeping a “Thankfulness Journal”, for the last little while and being aware of what I am thankful for on a regular basis has added to my life. My grandmother used to say that you cannot welcome more abundance into your life until you appreciate the blessings you already have. I believe she was right.
I am thankful for so many things in my life, I am thankful for my wonderful family, my beautiful daughter, my wonderful friends, my work, my home, my health. I am so thankful for the work I do, I am thankful to have the privilege of meeting and serving so many wonderful people on a daily basis through my work and having the honor of helping them find their perfect home and sell their existing homes. It is such an honor and a privilege to be part of that intimate process. Thank you to all of you for being in my life!

May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious
and your pies take the prize,
and may your Thanksgiving dinner
stay off your thighs!
