For those of you that may not know, Leslieville is a neighborhood in Toronto, east of the Don River and bounded by the CN railway line and Gerrard to the West, Easter Ave to the South and Coxwell to the East. It is an area just West of the Beach, this east-end neighborhood forms part of the broader neighborhood of South Riverdale.
Leslieville, after many years of playing the role of little brother to the more developed neighborhood of Riverside, has now emerged as Toronto's hippest place to live, to dine, to go for drinks and shop. A great article that was written about Leslieville in 2005, which 11 years later, I still remember reading says it well.

Leslieville may have been emerging as the hippest place to dine, drink, shop and live in Toronto back in 2005 but now in 2016, we can safely say it is no longer emerging as such place, but that it already is.
Did I say Lesliville? Sorry I meant to say Hipsterville ;-) This is a great article on Hipsterville writen in 2014.
